The theme of this year's event was "Get Dirty for Clean Water" because a portion of the proceeds of the Kalamazoo Mud Run will benefit communities in Africa by supporting efforts to drill new wells in partnership with The Bridge Church of Portage and Operation Starfish. Other portions of the funds raised will be dedicated to Kalamazoo Loaves and FIshes, dedicated to feeding the hungry people in Kalamazoo.
